Devon

After our week in Hastings we set off to spend a week in Devon.

We stayed in the tiny secluded hamlet of Nethercott, nestled between these velvety green hills with horses and sheep grazing.

The cottage, a Grade 2 listed stone cottage with Inglenook fireplace, country kitchen - with all the mod cons.  We shared the cottage with Colin's cousin John and his wife Jean.

The owners of the cottage live and work on the farm next door and came to meet us when we arrived.  Not a speck of dust anywhere, it was absolutely immaculate.

The road leading to the cottage was a bit of challenge.  Extremely narrow with very high hedges and no passing bays.  it was quite a busy road and we had many encounters with other vehicles and often had to back up a long way to get past each other.

Our first day the weather was beautiful and the next day was terrible and the rest of the week was a mixed bag of good days and bad days but that didn't deter us at all.
