Day 1
We arrived in London Thursday 26 June very early in the morning, about 10 mins before 6am. We were able to get through Immigration and customs very quickly and were soon out of the terminal and straight onto a waiting courtesy bus that whisked us around to the Avis hire car terminal. Amazingly that too was not crowded and very quickly we were driving away in our VW Golf diesel.
From the airport we headed straight off to Hastings our first destination for this holiday. We arrived at Colin's brothers house before 9am.
England turned on a beautiful warm and sunny day. As it was such a nice day we decided to go to the beach. We had fish and chips near the water and whilst enjoying that I was dive bombed in the head by a seagull who managed to steal a large piece of my fish. Everyone except me was highly amused by this.
The remainder of the day was spent catching up with family and making a successful effort to stay awake until night time.
