Road to Rome - Pisa

We visited Pisa in Tuscany.  Famous of course for the Leaning Tower.  On our first visit here in about 2002 the tower was being straightened slightly and re-enforced so it was covered in scaffolding and you couldnt go into it.  30 million eruro has been spent on a revamp of the whole area and it is now a really nice place to visit.  Money well spent I would say.

The Tower is a sparkling white, and once again people are allowed inside.  It costs more to go up the Leaning Tower than it does to go up the Eiffel Tower.

The Tower is the bell tower of the Romanesque striped marble Cathedral that it sits next to.
