Riga is the largest of all three of the Baltic capitals.
We had a walking tour with a local guide who took us first to Riga Central Market. The largest market in Europe and has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage.
The building was constructed using the metal framework from former WW1 Zepplin Hangers and was constructed in ther 1930's.
Inside the building are market stalls selling fresh produce such as fruit and vegies, fish, meat, cheeses, a couple of bakeries, chocolatiers and clothing and homewares. It was interesting to wander through the markets and taste some of the cheeses.
