All of the 5 villages of the Cinque Terre are beautiful, each one is different.  I think that Riomaggiore was my favourite with it's narrow winding streets, steep steps, cafes and restuarants.  From the windows and balconies hangs the washing flapping gently in the breeze.  The green shutters on the windows provide some shade in the hot afternoon sun.  Bouganvillea in deep purple grows almost wild.  In the harbour old fishing boats bob about at the waters edge.
