Lugano Switzerland

We arrived in Lugano Switzerland after an overnight train from Vienna to Milan and then a short train journey from Milan to Lugano.

We walked from the station down a very steep road to our hotel.
The hotel was great.  Right in the middle of the town and our room overlooked the main square.  The staff were lovely.  In our room they had free mini fridge stocked with juice, soft drinks, water and iced tea.  Downstairs they had tea and coffee and fresh pastries and jars of lollies and chocolates were available on the reception counter.

We really liked Lugano.  We walked down to the lake and walked along the path through the botanic gardens.  We sat in the sun and admired the view.
Lugano is the largest town in the holiday region of Ticino and much less touristy than Lucarno.  It is a city of parks and gardens and flowers overlooking the beautiful lake.
